CHAPEL RECAP: OCTOBER 22, 2021

On October 22nd, we married ten couples in front of the Toronto skyline at the Globe and Mail Center!

With the rising costs of weddings and more couples turning to turn-key planning solutions, The Pop-Up Chapel Co. offers a one-stop wedding package that includes everything you need for your big day like the venue, decor, officiant, photography, music and more. This sustainable, affordable and inclusive planning option is a shared weddings concept where we marry 10 couples in one day, every hour on the hour. We work with best-in-class local vendors to collaborate on a completely unique chapel event that, each time, supports a local charity and gives our fave local vendors the opportunity to use their wedding industry talent to create change at a local level.

Walking into the ceremony room, Maria Markova Florals lit up the space with pops of coral roses and peach dahlias, in contrast to the black-framed rattan chairs. Coordinating with the flowers, terrazzo-printed vinyl lined the aisle to lead the couples beneath a dramatic black backdrop. With the silhouette of the CN Tower behind them, couples shared their vows and rings in front of their beloved families and friends. Toronto Jazz Collective serenaded the room with snazzy renditions of their favourite tunes as couples danced down the aisle, finally married.

To get the party started, the couples and guests were first welcomed into their cocktail hour with glasses of bubbly from Serenity Wines. Beer from Steam Whistle Brewery, Social Lites, Viveau, and Gruvi were popular options at the bar as well! Champagne-infused popcorn from Eatable and chocolate chip cookies from Courage Cookies were dispersed throughout the reception space, while cakes from Olivia Yang Cake Studio wowed everyone with their gorgeous piping and flavours. Our signature “CHAPEL” marquee lights from Wild and Free Marquee and the Toronto skyline provided beautiful backdrops for photo ops and guests to catch up around!

A total of $3000 went to The SickKids Foundation, a local charity raising funds to rebuild the largest centre for children’s health in Canada. By revamping the 70-year old building where the outdated infrastructure can no longer support modern equipment or capacity demands, SickKids will be in the best position to help fight for healthier children.

Our newly added 2022 dates in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver are now OPEN for booking!
