CHAPEL RECAP: DECEMBER 10, 2021

For our last Chapel of 2021, we married ten couples at The Symes on December 10th!

With the rising costs of weddings and more couples turning to turn-key planning solutions, The Pop-Up Chapel Co. offers a one-stop wedding package that includes everything you need for your big day like the venue, decor, officiant, photography, music and more. This sustainable, affordable and inclusive planning option is a shared weddings concept where we marry 10 couples in one day, every hour on the hour. We work with best-in-class local vendors to collaborate on a completely unique chapel event that, each time, supports a local charity and gives our fave local vendors the opportunity to use their wedding industry talent to create change at a local level.

For this Chapel, we wanted to bring Palm Springs to the North Pole and create an elegant holiday wedding for our couples. The ceremony took place in the art-deco loft, with branches of pine, majesty palms, and naturally dried hydrangeas creating a twinkling arch for the couples to share their vows under. Our signature “CHAPEL” sign from Wild and Free Marquee was displayed in front of a green velvet couch, complete with fuzzy throws for a cozy photo op!

Tanya List continued her incredible floral installations in the cocktail space, where bouquets of lush greenery and fluffy pampas grass adorned the bar. Wines from Serenity Wines, beers from Steam Whistle Brewery, Social Lites, Viveau, and Gruvi were served to the couples and guests for all of their toasts and speeches, while McEwan Catering provided light bites dispersed throughout. Scrumptious cakes from Olivia Yang Cake Studio made for an adorable photo moment, as couples cut into their delicious cakes in flavours like salted caramel and summer harvest.

A total of $2700 was raised for True North Aid,  a charity supporting northern and remote Indigenous communities in Canada in closing the poverty gap. Through reconciliation and education, they aim to raise awareness and promote an understanding of the tragic history of non-Indigenous/Indigenous relations in Canada.

Our newly added 2022 dates in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver are now OPEN for booking!
