CHAPEL RECAP: FEBRUARY 2020
This Valentine’s Day, we kicked off our very first Pop-Up Chapel of 2020 with a winter romance theme, designed to hitch 10 beautiful couples in rad style. To celebrate the holiday of love, we chose the Globe and Mail Centre as this Chapel’s breathtaking venue, located a few minutes from Toronto’s downtown core.
As guests walked into the ceremony space, they were greeted by gorgeous white and gold Florence chairs and a bold floral arrangement that marked the beginning of the aisle. Our floral install featured Roses, Lunaria and Anthurium in our color palette of burgundy, gold, white and pops of rose. As for our ceremony backdrop installation, we used tall gold pillars wrapped at the top with beautiful champagne colored fringe and adorned it with more floral goodness. A bonus? The spectacular panoramic view of the Toronto skyline, creating a perfect visual backdrop as our couples said “I do”. Helping us move and groove while marrying 10 couples, on the hour, every hour was the talented duo from the Toronto Jazz Collective.
Inaugurating our V-day inspired Chapel was the winning couple of the #pucxduuocontest, a giveaway held in collaboration with Duuo Insurance to provide our online community with a chance to win one free Chapel spot. Duuo was also the proud sponsor of our “Rest Easy” cocktail lounge. Here, people were able to kick off their shoes, get comfortable and create special memories that our amazing roster of photographers captured throughout the day.
For a good party, we kicked off each mini cocktail hour by inviting the newlyweds and their guests to a delicious glass of sparkling rose provided by Fresh Wines. Crafted from 100% Ontario grapes and grown by local farmers, this glass was the perfect compliment to our selection of V-day inspired candy and popcorn station, which guests could find on a vintage sweets cart, provided by Event Source and Soho Sweets Cart.
In commitment to our Chapel givebacks, we successfully raised $3,000 in support of The United Way – a charity whose efforts aims to build stronger and healthier communities by moving people from poverty to possibility.
