Evergreen Brick Works is one of Toronto’s most sought after venues with it’s open concept layout, rustic and warm brick walls, and picture perfect grounds. TELL US ABOUT THE HISTORY OF EVERGREEN BRICK WORKS & HOW IT BECAME A VENUE.
In 2010, Evergreen transformed a collection of deteriorating heritage buildings into a global showcase for green design and an award-winning public space. Open year-round, Evergreen Brick Works welcomes more than 500,000 visitors annually to experience its public markets and participate in conferences and events.
WHAT MAKES EVERGREEN BRICK WORKS UNIQUE AS A VENUE?
Evergreen Brick Works is nestled in Toronto’s lush ravines in a setting of awe-inspiring heritage buildings, Evergreen Brick Works offers a truly unique setting for private events. Our spaces feature original street art and graffiti that has been artfully restored. In 2010, the site was opened as Canada’s first large-scale community environmental centre, a dynamic venue for exploring ideas and solutions that advance sustainable cities. It is a vibrant public space where visitors can engage in a broad suite of hands-on programs that connect nature, culture, and community. Our 3rd party events helps to generate revenues to deliver onsite programming that support Evergreen’s mission of inspiring action to green cities.

The Pop-Up Chapel Co. business model is such a unique innovative way of hosting an wedding, Evergreen really encourages a entrepreneurial spirit so this thinking is very aligned with who we are and our thinking, its so great to be able to partner with these events.

We love the way they look already! But if we could say one thing, more plants!

We can’t wait to host more couples onsite in our venues in 2023! These events are always so fun and filled with so much joy!

Evergreen Brick Works was transformed from a collection of deteriorating heritage buildings into a globally recognized showcase for green design and urban sustainability. Its flagship event spaces are housed in the Centre for Green Cities, a LEED Platinum certified building.
Our events team encourages and supports event organizers to make environmentally sound choices in the planning and execution of events onsite. We will happily consult with you on what you can do to create an event that is both memorable and sustainable.
When not being used for events, Evergreen Brick Works welcomes visitors of all ages to participate in myriad activities, workshops and community festivals. It offers a full suite of programs that cover subjects including ecology, play, food, design, urban planning, technology and the arts. Evergreen Brick Works is owned and operated as a social enterprise by Evergreen, a national not-for-profit that has designed and delivered programs which help Canadians live, work and play sustainably since 1991.
All proceeds from event space rentals go to support Evergreen’s efforts to create greener, more sustainable cities.
