Cake cutting is a tradition that looks back to many centuries. We cut cakes at birthdays, graduations, and weddings - just to name a few! We love when couples choose the cake add-on to their Chapel - not only is it a fun photo moment, but it adds to the decor of the space, and it’s a great dessert for you to enjoy after your Chapel! We gathered our favourite cakes from our super talented bakers from the 2022 season and can’t wait to share them!

Devika and Kyle got married in our delicate watercolour Chapel on June 23rd. This pastel brushed cake from Olivia Y Cakes was a perfect match with the Chapel backdrop and the beautiful waterfront of The Henley Room! We are obsessed with Olivia Y’s creativity and talent and how she creates the perfect cake every time!

This blush pink and cream cake by Kwento cakes was the cherry on top of Peter and Anna’s Chapel on August 5th at The Art Gallery of Hamilton. This lambeth style cake perfectly mimics the beauty and artistic vibe of the Hamilton venue. Kwento has a fun and unique cake style that is perfect for the Chapel!

For our trendy wavy August 11th & 12th Chapel, Olivia Y Cakes made a gorgeous teal and white cake to match the waterfront vibes at The Henley Room! The cake was the perfect combination of sweet and classy. Just like our wavy backdrop, the cake looked like the lake view our couples enjoyed when getting married!

The dreamy blue cake by The Cake Shop was a perfect match with this vibrant Chapel on November 6th at The Umbrella Bar. Natasha and Chris celebrated their Chapel, and of course couldn’t miss the tradition of cake cutting. This naked cake with tones of blue was both delicious and pretty, and it complemented perfectly with the venue’s waterfront!

Check out the cutest cake by Olivia Y Cakes! Enki and Jeremy got married at the July 21st & 22nd Chapel at the modern Globe and Mail Centre. This Chapel was filled with bright colours and this cake is the perfect portrait of it! The couple also ordered amazing cupcakes for their guests to enjoy at The Chapel.

A Pop of colour for Courtney and Kevin’s Chapel! Another super fun lambeth style cake by Kwento, but this time with pops of bold colours. This cutting cake was featured at The Symes at our jewel tone Chapel on October 21st. Courtney and Kevin created the perfect photo moment when cutting their cake, eternalizing this sweet sweet memory!
