OUR VALUES: EVOLUTION
At The Pop-Up Chapel Co., everything we do follows our five key values; sustainability, simplicity, inclusivity, social consciousness, and evolution. Evolution is a big one for us and is the basis of the Chapel itself in many ways. We noticed that many couples today are experiencing life out of the traditional sequence; children come before marriage, careers take an entire decade to study for, houses and travel are taking priority. The wedding industry didn’t have a good answer to this changing shift in values and needs and that is how the Chapel was born.
Since 2017, The Pop-Up Chapel Co. has been dedicated to serving these modern couples who want a wedding celebration that feels authentic to how they lead their lives and fits their financial goals. We took the idea of the sharing economy, think Uber and Airbnb, and figured out how to apply it to our industry to create a unique experience that is special and beautiful (and gets couples legally married in front of their closest friends and family!) but is also sustainable, inclusive, and socially conscious.
However, our value of Evolution is not only found in the Chapel concept. It is something that is ongoing and ever progressing. We came up with this concept in 2017 and have now, after marrying 150+ couples in the last 3 years, pretty much gotten it down to a science. That being said we are constantly evaluating and surveying couples and trying to improve. The world is changing faster than ever and we are committed to keeping up with the ever evolving needs of the communities we serve. In 2020, even with the pandemic, we were able to adapt quickly and put new policies in place that allowed us to safely marry over 75 couples in style!
We challenge our couples to think about what is really important to them to incorporate into their weddings and get rid of whatever does not serve them. Want to walk down the aisle together with your kids? Do it! Don’t want to invite your third cousin's girlfriend's sister who you’ve never met? Don’t! Want to have a bouquet of chicken nuggets?
