CHAPEL RECAP: OCTOBER 8, 9 & 10, 2020
31 Couples Tied the Knot at this Fall-Themed Wonderland
On October 8th, 9th and 10th 2020, we hosted our first ever 3-day Chapel, and married a whopping 31 couples, making it the biggest Chapel yet! Evergreen Brickworks’ BMO Atrium, with its ultra high ceilings and beautiful natural lighting, served as the perfect blank canvas for us to create the ultimate upscale, cozy ceremony space. The space was decked out in rich fall colours with two inviting lounge seating areas and loads of sumptuous cushions and rugs throughout.
Walking into the ceremony space guests were greeted by a gorgeous hand-painted Welcome sign by the ultra talented Kerbel Design. Couples exchanged their vows in front of three large arches in warm hues of burgundy, burnt orange and pale pink, each strung with hundreds of paper leaves of the same shades. This was all accented with stunning floral arrangements from Nymph Floral, creating a whimsical, boho backdrop for “I Do’s”.
Arguably, the star of this Chapel came post nuptials- the two lounge spaces decked out with luxe velvet seating from Divine Furniture Rental really stole the show. Suspending our signature chapel letters, from Wild and Free Marquee, created the perfect photo-op! Once couples and their guests were settled in the intimate lounge space they were invited to toast the newly-weds with their choice of wine from Fresh Wines or beer from Steam Whistle . Guests also helped themselves to a selection of light bites; freshly baked mini-doughnuts (a serious crowd pleaser!) and flavourful popcorn courtesy of Cops Doughnuts and Kernels Popcorn!
The Chapel is committed to giving back and we successfully raised $9,300 in support of Evergreen Children’s Garden, an organization that seeks to engage children in new environments through hands-on play in natural environments. They help children embrace confidence and empathy, constructive problem-solving and skill development, which will help them to create flourishing cities of the future. Thanks to our couples and vendors, we are proud to be leaving a positive footprint in the communities we live in and share.
We have been very proactive in our approach to hosting Chapels during the COVID-19 pandemic, our layout and planning process have been modified to ensure that all regulations and standards are met. We are committed to making the day stress-free, safe and beautiful for our couples and their guests. Our Chapel safety plan includes socially distanced spaces, sanitization stations set up in every room and hallway, carefully pre-packaged food and drinks and a dedicated staff member on site to disinfect surfaces between each couple.
Our newly added 2021 dates in Toronto, Hamilton, Winnipeg and Vancouver are now OPEN for booking.
