On May 5th, the Pop-Up Chapel team headed out to Hamilton for a full day of wedding and engagement shoots.

The Custom House at the Worker’s Arts and Heritage Centre provides a super sweet setting for the Pop-Up Chapel. From the fresh walls and natural light, to the historic exterior and lush gardens outside, we absolutely love hosting at this venue.

Guests entered the Chapel space to the guitar excellence of Dave Jones, playing each couples chosen processional as they got ready to say their “I Do’s”. Greeting everyone at the end of the aisle was Marilyn Dion, a local Hamilton officiant who brings a mystical flare to every moment of the ceremony experience.

To perfectly compliment the space, Wild Vogel arranged soft yellow florals to pop against the neutrals of the space. The PUC team chose deep green velvet furniture to compliment and contrast the bright lemon blooms.

Following the ceremony, guests naturally found themselves at the bar with the difficult choice of choosing between Fresh Wines, Shiny Apple Cider, Darling Mimosa, Steam Whistle, or Gruvi. These tasty sips got the parties started as you can guess and Courage Cookies and Purplesful Popcorn supplied the snacks to keep it alive.

Michelle Np took on the critical role of capturing the images that our newly married couples would look back on for years to come. Alicia Thurston shot a whopping four engagement shoots, taking the images those couples will surely use for invitations, wedding stationary, or even just viewing pleasure. We can’t wait to hear from some of those couples how they used their pictures!

This Chapel raised funds for our generous hosts at the Worker’s Arts and Heritage Centre in Hamilton. WAHC works toward bringing together and celebrating ALL working people (paid and unpaid) through art, history and culture.
