POP-UP CHAPEL FASHION FEATURE!

POP-UP CHAPEL FASHION!

Our Chapels are known for shattering wedding stereotypes! We’ve redefined what it means to have an affordable and sustainable wedding and encourage our couples to do the same when getting married with us. One of the ways we’ve seen this manifest is through fashion! Today we will be highlighting three couples who chose to ditch the traditional white gown or tux and opt for something more unique. Choosing something other than the typical wedding attire is a great way to give your Chapel a healthy dose of personality.

Brooke and Cody tied the knot in Winnipeg and Brooke wore a striking burgundy gown to say her I do’s. The burgundy dress looked gorgeous with her dark hair and it sparkled in the sunlight as Caitlin Louisa, their photographer, took their wedding portraits. The specific shade of burgundy was so flattering, it looked like it was made especially for her. If you’ve been teetering on whether to wear white, this may be your sign to opt for something different.

Grace and Andrew got married during our Chapel at The Loft On King St. Andrew was our 2020  Davignon contest winner and opted for a purple velvet suit to make it official. Both Grace and Andrew were over the moon about how Andrew’s suit turned out. Their reaction was almost as beaitful as the vows exchanged during their intimate Chapel ceremony. Matthew Davignon always does amazing work and Andrew looked so handsome for his now wife, Grace.Photos by Alicia Thurston Photography

Sabrina and Michelle got married at Evergreen Brickworks in BMO Atrium. Michelle rocked a sequin jumpsuit to make it official! The jumpsuit was a charcoal long sleeve sequin top and black tapered trouser bottoms. If you don’t love dresses or traditional suits, jumpsuits are such a trendy alternative. Our team still talks about how much they love this wedding day attire, even a couple of years later! The couple’s portraits were taken by Amanda Thirkhill.

There are no rules when it comes to your wedding attire! Whether you like the white gown and black tux or would rather wear something with a pop of colour, the most important thing is that you love it. A lot of couples feel compelled to stick to what they think is acceptable, but the only real rule when it comes to wedding day fashion is that you need to feel your best.
